Hard to believe it is the last day of the year, again, So crazy! Can't really tell if that went fast or not? lol! Hopefully this finds you well, what a crazy year!

So, I didn't want to let the year finish without wishing the massively talented Illustrator/Comic Book Artist and Co Creator of "Nexus", Steve Rude a Very Happy Birthday, December 31st, that's today! As I'm sure you know Steve has worked in the comics industry for almost 40 years! "His first work for DC Comics appeared in Tales of the Teen Titans #48 (Nov. 1984). Rude also collaborated with writer Dave Gibbons on the World's Finest miniseries for DC in 1990." DC Comics writer and executive Paul Levitz has noted that Rude's artwork "plays on Norman Rockwell's Americana".

And I know I have mentioned this before, but if you ever have a chance to sit down with one of Steve's personal sketch books, don't miss out, spend the time, they are incredible! I had the pleasure of photographing Steve in his studio for my "Artist Within: Book 2", have a look around, a beautiful space!

Happy Birthday "Dude!"

"Sharon Sampsel & Greg Preston graduated from the prestigious Art Center College of Design in Pasadena, California, and had the good luck to pick Las Vegas as the up and coming place in which to open their studio. Riding the wave in as Las Vegas came into its own in the last 30 years has been a blast for these two partners. Although they concentrate mostly on Resort and Casino work, Being in a town like Las Vegas gives them the opportunity to shoot just about everything, which is fine with them."
